In September 2017, at the invitation of the Lebenshilfe Institute, the six-member football team of the Radmehr Center was sent to the relevant competitions in its first international experience.
The competition was held in Berlin with the participation of 11 teams of 6 people, including people with special conditions from different cities of Germany, and with the presence of a representative of the Iranian Welfare Organization (Radmehr Center). The excitement of the children on the day of the competition was quite impressive and unparalleled. A different experience that definitely motivated the children and boost their functional level and self-confidence. The Lebenshilfe Institute has a brilliant and long term experience with disabled and aged people so participating in this institute was an opportunity for the children of this center to get acquainted with the way of life of their kind in Berlin.
The advice of Dr. Jellilund, the director of this institute, on the manner and living conditions of the disabled and the elderly in small houses has undoubtedly opened the door for us to provide services internationally. Visiting their place of residence and getting to know their way of life and Dr. Jellilund’s explanations about the institute’s policies as well as how to receive social support created a better perspective for Radmehr Center.
Finally, we would like to thank all the officials and managers of the Lebenshilfe Institute, especially Dr. Jalilvand and Ms. Mozaffari, who sincerely were with us during our visit in Berlin.
